Tie-downscups Homemade hitch bracket |
| The first step in mounting the trike is to drop the front wheel and put the front fork into fork clamp at top of rack (see photo - top left). Now, push the back of the trike towards the car until the rear wheels wedge into the tie-downs cups. This action will raise the rack about ten inches off the ground (see photo - top right). Because this trike, w/motor, is heavy I ran tie-down straps from the top rail of the rack to the rear axle of the trike on both sides (see photo - bottom left.). This saves the front fork from being bent when you hit a big pot hole in the road. The homemade hitch bracket (see photo - bottom right) may not be necessary but I feel that with tie-down straps running from the outer edges of the top bar on rack to the hitch bracket helps stabilize the rack. |
