| The Battery shelf supports are made from 6061 .080" aluminum 1" by 1" angle by 1/8" thick (88805K48). You will notice that the holes for mounting to the axle frame are not inline with each other. So that the battery shelf would set level I clamped the shelf supports to the axle frame with a level setting on top and when it was level I marked the support through the axle tabs with a pencil. I do not know how accurate the tabs, on the axle frame, are from trike to trike so the 5-7/32" may or may not be an accurate measurement. All of the raw material was purchased at www.mcmaster.com. |
